The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many businesses to rethink the role of digital activities within their industries. The restrictions on face-to-face interaction that continues in most parts of the UK and that has lasted several months now has pushed for a rethink of the business model that companies follow, and the promotional activities that they do. SMEs are among the ones that have been hit the hardest, particularly as many do not possess the knowledge or the financial resources to adapt rapidly to this change.

The Government has intervened at different levels to support the economy. One of those initiatives is the Go Digital programme supported by Norfolk County Council. The programme aims to support micro, small and medium-sized businesses based in Norfolk make better use of their digital tools to help them grow. The programme provides consulting from digital experts as well as the possibility to apply for grants to support the digital transformation activities identified with help of the digital consultants. I’m excited to be taking part of this initiative, and can’t wait to to engage with dozens of small businesses in this area. For more details on how to be eligible click on this link.
